Applies to: the DineLogic AI Founders Beta Giveaway (“Contest”) running April 19, 2026 – April 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time, with the winner announced on April 30, 2026.
This Addendum supplements — and does not replace — the DineLogic AI Privacy Policy available at https://www.dinelogic.ai/en/privacy (the “Main Policy”). Where this Addendum and the Main Policy conflict with respect to Contest data, this Addendum controls.
1. What we collect from Contest entrants
When you enter the Contest as a restaurant owner, manager, or authorized representative, we collect:
- Contact information: full name, role, restaurant name, restaurant address, email address, and phone number
- Business information: your responses to Q1 (current challenge), Q2 (current tools), and Q3 (monthly revenue range)
- Written response: your Q4 narrative about your restaurant
- Consent flags: your acknowledgments of the Official Rules, this Privacy Policy, and marketing communications
- Technical metadata: submission timestamp, IP address, and basic browser information for fraud prevention
2. What we collect from people referring a restaurant
The Contest allows third parties — friends, neighbors, family members, regulars, and others — to nominate a restaurant on its behalf. When you submit an entry as a referrer, we collect:
- About you (the referrer): your full name, email address, your relationship to the restaurant (e.g., friend, neighbor, family member, regular customer), and whether the restaurant is aware of the nomination
- About the restaurant you’re nominating: the same contact, business, and narrative information described in Section 1, to the best of your knowledge
We use referrer information to (a) acknowledge your nomination, (b) contact you if the restaurant you nominated is selected as the winner, and (c) prevent duplicate and fraudulent entries. We will not disclose your identity as the referrer to the nominated restaurant unless you grant us permission to do so or are required by law. If the restaurant you nominate wins, we will contact the restaurant directly — you will not receive the prize or make decisions on the restaurant’s behalf.
3. How we use Contest data
- Administer the Contest, including verifying eligibility, judging entries, and contacting the winner
- Acknowledge referrers and follow up with them if their nominated restaurant is selected
- Prevent fraud and duplicate entries
- Comply with tax, legal, and regulatory obligations (including issuing IRS Form 1099-MISC to the winner)
- Send marketing communications (including Founders Beta updates, launch news, product announcements, and future giveaways) to entrants and referrers who submit an entry. By submitting an entry, you consent to receive these communications. You may unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email; unsubscribing does not affect your Contest eligibility.
4. What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
- We do not use AI training on your Q4 written response or any other Contest data.
- We do not disclose a referrer’s identity to the nominated restaurant without the referrer’s permission.
5. Who we share Contest data with
We share limited Contest data only with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf under written confidentiality obligations (e.g., our email provider, form platform, cloud hosting, tax filing provider such as Track1099 or our accountant)
- The IRS, via Form 1099-MISC, for the winner only
- Legal authorities, if required by law, subpoena, or court order
6. Retention
- Non-winner entries and referrer records: deleted or de-identified within 90 days after the winner is announced (by July 29, 2026), except where the entrant or referrer opted in to marketing communications, in which case contact data is retained under the Main Policy until the individual unsubscribes.
- Winner records: retained for seven (7) years to satisfy tax recordkeeping obligations, then deleted or de-identified.
- Judging scores and notes: retained for two (2) years from the winner announcement to defend against any dispute, then deleted.
7. California residents: your CCPA / CPRA rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients
- Access a copy of your personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., tax records for the winner)
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — DineLogic AI does not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring this right
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
- Designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf
To exercise these rights, email privacy@dinelogic.ai with the subject line “CCPA Request.” We will respond within 45 days as required by law. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
